Karnataka is an Indian state that is located on the western coast and is often referred to as “The Land of the Splendid Mangoes”. From here, one can travel south from Coorg to reach Mysore, one of Karnataka's culturally rich and historic cities. This city is well known for its palaces, temples and traditional local markets, and is also an ideal place for a shopping spree. Mysore is home to the famous Mysore Palace, the Raja’s seat, Chamundi Hill, Brindavan Gardens and more.


Karnataka is also home to many heritage sites and worldly holy places which have been well-preserved over time. Hampi, a rustic village located along the Tungabhadra River, is a beautiful old place which has ancient monuments and temples from the 14th and 16th centuries.
